Advanced Laser Institute

At our laser training courses, we know the key to increasing laser skills and elevating patient care is comprehensive world-class clinical education.

While she loves working at Advanced Laser Institute, she also finds great joy teaching students at SAA Laser Institute on Radiofrequency, Dermaplaning, and Fibroblast applications. Working here offers its own set of rewards: its close-knit community atmosphere is particularly noteworthy.

Advanced Radiofrequency Microneedling

RF microneedling is one of the newest and most effective skin rejuvenation procedures available today. Utilizing microneedles with radio frequency energy, this treatment tightens and lifts skin while improving wrinkles, acne scars, shrink pores and providing firmness and elasticity to the complexion. Microneedles create tiny perforations in which RF energy then stimulates production of collagen within your body – tightening and lifting at the same time!

Once applied, your practitioner will use a device to gently move across the area delivering needled doses of RF energy through each puncture site to numb your skin and provide relief from pain. After applying numbing cream, however, you may feel a prickling sensation similar to being bitten by an insect. Once complete, she or he may use another needled dose of energy at each puncture site until your treatment session has concluded.

Thermal energy from RF microneedling treatments trigger your body into “healing mode.” This leads to new, collagen-rich tissue being created, tightening loose skin, decreasing wrinkles and stretch marks while also improving skin texture, decreasing pore size, controlling oil production in your pores, shrinking sebaceous glands and shrinking sebaceous glands – thus tightening them tighter over time.

RF microneedling offers another significant benefit of treating stubborn fat cells that have amassed in your face. By heating and melting away this unwanted weight, RF energy helps you lose unwanted pounds alongside loose skin! This treatment is particularly helpful if you suffer from excess chin fat, double chin or puffy cheeks.

Advanced Fractional C02

At our clinic, we use fractional CO2 laser to stimulate your skin’s natural production of collagen for firmer and younger-looking results. The laser treatment also serves to erase fine lines, tighten sagging skin and diminish acne scars.

Imagine treating your skin like an artwork that needs restoration in small sections over time or as digital photos are altered pixel by pixel. Fractional CO2 laser treatments offer powerful results without the downtime, side effects or discomfort associated with full laser ablative skin resurfacing treatments.

During treatment, laser pulses of intense light energy penetrate your skin in precise pulses that target damaged areas while leaving healthy areas intact. This causes microwounds that will quickly heal by themselves without needing medical intervention; this unique process allows doctors to accurately target damaged tissue while sparing untreated areas that serve as “bridges” between treatments in order to facilitate healing faster and reduce discomfort.

Research teams across departmental boundaries collaborate closely in translating ideas and concepts from blackboard to lab benchtop to patient bedside. Our scientists are creating optics and photonics technologies to revolutionize health care; by preventing diseases in their early stages; non-invasively monitoring patients; non-invasively diagnosing them, and discovering therapies for untreatable conditions.

Advanced Treatment Layering

Laser treatments have become an increasingly popular form of skin rejuvenation for a range of goals, from increasing collagen production to smoothing fine lines and wrinkles. Laser procedures can address hyperpigmentation, loose skin, large pores and sagging; but sometimes their side effects require long days at the treatment room requiring multiple sessions over multiple visits; that’s why layering treatments – or combination therapy – has become so widespread among cosmetic laser training programs.

As part of “Next Level Laser: Advanced Laser Training,” this modality of the course teaches how to combine advanced laser and light energy devices to treat multiple skin issues simultaneously, in one session – optimizing client results while minimizing downtime. You will discover how radiofrequency microneedling with ErCr:YSGG fractional lasers for wrinkle reduction, tissue tightening and pigmentation improvement is precisely combined for maximum client results and minimal downtime.

Your course will also cover how to administer carbon facials to clients, using activated charcoal as an effective skin-clearing treatment that deep cleanses pores while simultaneously reducing oil. Once their skin is clear, use 1064 wavelength laser to minimize fine lines and pores for even further benefits.

Learn the latest RF technology to treat jawline and neck areas more precisely during this cosmetic laser training. Utilizing state-of-the-art devices which offer targeted radiofrequency, you will discover ways to enhance treatment effectiveness by increasing cell responses.

Advanced Rosacea & Melasma

Laser therapy can be an excellent treatment option for rosacea and other skin conditions, offering many advantages such as reduced redness and visible blood vessels, nose reshaping (rhinophyma) reshaping (rhinophyma), smooth lines and wrinkles, reduced enlarged pores as well as treating follicular inflammation.

Laser and light treatments can also help alleviate or manage Melasma symptoms, including the Erbium Laser which can either ablative or non-ablatively remove surface layer skin tissue while heating underlying layers, inducing new cell production while discoloration from sun damage as well as pigmented birthmarks or blotches may decrease significantly.

IPL therapy is another means of improving melasma and evening out skin tone. Utilizing multiple wavelengths, this therapy targets different aspects of skin – including pigment cells responsible for creating melanomas – to address it effectively. According to one 2020 study, researchers discovered IPL therapy to be highly successful at relieving symptoms, as it reduced flareup intensity significantly for most individuals who were treated.

Dermatologists can evaluate a patient’s skin sensitivity, family history and medical health issues to determine if laser therapy will benefit them. Once determined as suitable candidates, they can recommend the appropriate procedure, counsel their patient and perform treatment safely. They may also prescribe topical tranexamic acid medication to decrease patches of melanomas that other treatments have failed to reduce.

Advanced Active & Acne Scars

Acne scarring is caused by damaged collagen fibres that support healthy skin tissue. This condition can affect all layers of the skin and ranges in severity from mild to severe. At Capital Laser & Skin Care, radiofrequency microneedling can reduce mild acne scarring while improving overall tone and texture of your complexion. Fotona’s Er:YAG laser wavelength provides light ablative scar revision; its wavelength gently vaporizes away any superficial layer of acne-scarred skin for scar revision purposes.

Laser skin resurfacing can significantly diminish acne scars by exfoliating away the top layer of skin to reveal younger, healthy cells beneath. It can also help improve hypertrophic and ice pick scars.

Dermabrasion can also be an effective treatment for acne scarring, working like a sanding tool to shave away the top layer of skin and help address raised acne scars commonly known as keloids.

Dermal punch elevation or punch grafting is used to fill in holes created by ice pick or boxcar acne scars, performed surgically under supervision from a licensed healthcare practitioner.

At Skin Doctors of Maryland, we also offer other treatments to address pigmentation associated with acne scarring, including Stellar IPL which helps treat active acne by shrinking glands producing sebum, while our ResurFX non-ablative laser minimises their appearance and treats individual scars individually. Furthermore, the Banisher microneedle stamp stimulates new collagen to reduce acne scars without spreading bacteria while simultaneously treating discolouration related to acne scarring – making a powerful combination with our Banish Serum which hydrates your skin while addressing discolouration associated with acne scarring!

Advanced Spider Veins

Spider veins are thin, visible veins that appear across your skin like spider legs or webs, often appearing bluish-red, red or purple in color and most frequently found on feet and legs. While unsightly, spider veins typically do not cause pain or other medical problems and should instead be considered cosmetic issues.

Intense pulsed light treatment (IPL) offers a non-invasive solution for diminishing spider veins on your face or body. IPL targets blood vessel walls, damaging and closing them as it passes through; over time, spider veins gradually fade and are eventually reabsorbed by your body.

Sclerotherapy is an effective solution to treat spider and varicose veins under three millimeters in diameter. A micro-needle injects sclerosant directly into diseased veins using an anticoagulant solution called “sclerosant”, irritating their inner lining to close and redirect the blood through healthier veins.

Lasers can also help people with darker skin reduce spider veins, although it’s important to remember that different wavelengths of light absorb differently by specific chromophores – meaning only those parts of a target that contain one of those specific chromophores will be damaged by the laser, while remaining parts will continue improving over time.
